PITCHES
-
All electric units must be reversed to the right of the electric box as the arrow indicates, with your car to the right of this, or in front if space allows. Non-electric units must be placed to the right of the peg, with your car to the right of this.
-
Please respect other peoples’ pitches and do not cut across or behind them. Do not let your children play around other units which do not belong to you or your friends.
-
The static site is private to the caravan owners. Please do not allow children to play in there.
-
All music must be turned off and noise kept to a minimum after 10pm, as noise travels very easily in the countryside.
SAFETY
-
Please note the position of the fire points and see instructions on our site map in case of fire.
-
Open fires/firepits/chimeneas are strictly forbidden.
-
Charcoal or gas BBQ’s can be used if they are raised off the ground, bricks are available. Do not leave BBQ’s unattended.
-
Please do not put cigarettes out or leave them on the grass.
-
Children should be dissuaded from playing in the driveway.
-
The playground is available 8am to 9pm and is for under 12’s only. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
-
Children must not use water balloons, as this can harm the wildlife.
-
No drones or kite flying from the fields because of overhead cables.
-
In the event of an accident or emergency, telephone numbers and a telephone can be found at the office.
-
Gate at main entrance will be closed in the evening, it is not locked, please use the slider to open and close behind you.
-
Please be aware that there are cracks in the fields when the ground dries out. Please be careful.
-
Some of our riverbanks are unstable, please be careful near the edge and do not allow children to climb on the safety chains.
-
We hold no responsibility for loss or damage to your property whilst on site.
WASTE
-
Please leave only kitchen waste in dustbins provided. Larger items please take home with you or to the nearest tip.
-
Please take your bulk recycling with you as we are unable to offer full recycling facilities on site.
-
We are not on mains sewerage; we have septic tanks on site. Please use water sparingly. Do not put nappies/sanitary items down toilets; bins are provided in the Ladies toilet block. Please do not put grease/fat down sinks.
DOGS
-
Well behaved dogs are allowed on site, as long as they are kept on leads at all times, and restricted to the confines of your pitch.
-
Please do not allow them to foul unattended; clear up after them when necessary.
-
A dog bin is available on the right of the bridge into the main field and poo bags are available in the shop.
-
Please walk them on the grass at the top of the main entrance/exit. A code is available for the gate access, through our ‘B’ field, onto the canal for longer walks.
SPEED LIMIT
-
There is a 10mph speed limit all over the site. Please abide by this as children are running about all of the time.
-
We would be grateful if cars could only be used when leaving the site, not just for coming to the shop or toilets. If the weather is wet, the use of your car will churn up the grass and make it unpleasant for others to walk on.
VISITORS
-
Please advise all your visitors that come to you on site that they must pay for a visitors pass before entering the fields, this is currently £3.00 per car, per day. They may be asked to park their car out of the field.
FISHING
-
The fishing in the river surrounding the site is private; a day permit must be obtained before fishing. We only charge a nominal amount of £3.50, per rod, per day, for people booked on the site. A National rod licence is required for over 12’s.
-
Please note we do not allow fishing between dusk and 8am or during close season.
RIVER SALWARPE
-
The boats moored on the river are private, and must not be boarded or mooring lines loosened. Please ensure children do not thrown gravel/stones at the boats or in the river, this can be costly, both to us for the gravel and to you to pay for any damage caused.
